What we collect

The basics you give us at sign-up (name, email, city, country, age group, sex, sport interests), the events you join or submit, and minimal usage data we need to keep the service running. When you submit an event for listing, we also store its details (title, sport, location, time, capacity, price, description) and link it to your account. If a listing fee applies, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your card details; we never see or store full card numbers, only a payment identifier that lets us capture or release the held amount.

Why we collect it

  • To match you with events that fit your interests, location, and age group.
  • To let event hosts contact registered participants.
  • To keep the platform safe, moderate submissions, and prevent abuse.

Who can see what

Your display name and city are visible to other users on event pages. Your email and age are private — they're never shown publicly. Hosts of events you join can see your display name and city. When you submit an event, Active Plays administrators reviewing the moderation queue can see the event details together with your organiser identity (display name, city) so they can make an informed decision; once approved, the event becomes public on the schedule and map.

Cookies

We only use cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in. No third-party advertising trackers.

Your rights

You can access, edit, or delete your data at any time from Settings. Under the GDPR you can also request a full export or deletion by emailing us.
